A Community Psychiatric Nurse is needed to join a busy team providing front-line mental health assessments for patients.
They will provide services for users from age 18 years to end of life. The post holder will act as care co - coordinator, where appropriate to patients who require the skills of a Mental Health nurse, and provide a holistic, clinical, autonomous nursing service, to enable individuals to engage in the best standards of care available.
The candidate will support Primary Care in management of people presenting with mental health problems by offering assessment, nurse diagnosis and treatment options also liaising with Primary Care professionals, through regular informal and formal meetings
The candidate will make decisions regarding the patient's needs and appropriate treatment options based on an analysis of complex presenting problems and assessment of risk in multiple domains. The post holder may frequently have to make such decisions autonomously, but needs also to be able to work with team colleagues to manage more complex cases.
The role is to commence ASAP and the role is on an initial three month NHS contract with scope for continuation.
The role is full time and the hours are exclusively night shifts.
The rate of pay is £30 p/h.
Candidates must be a qualified RMN with a valid NMC Pin, and must have previous liaison experience.
An enhanced DBS check is essential.
