Temporary Pay Rate:
*Standard Days: £22ph ltd
*Nights & Saturdays: £25ph ltd
*Sundays & Bank Holidays: £28ph ltd
Hours and length of contract:
*Full Time or part time considered
*7 day rota covering days and nights
oLong day shifts: 07:30-19:45 (1h30 break)
oLong night shifts: 19:30- 08:00
*Support on a 24-hour basis therefore flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential.
*The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP.
*Long Term consistent booking and regular shifts
*Full supervision and support provided throughout placement
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work across a 50 bed hospital split into 3 units, 1 female only ABI unit, 1 male only Abi Unit and 1 mixed sex Huntington's disease unit.
The service not only supports those with an acquired brain injury (ABI) but also includes traumatic brain injury (TBI) and stroke, or a progressive neurological condition (PNC). The aim of the service is to reduce challenging behaviour, optimise functional skills and promote quality of life of the patients.
Responsibilities will include:
*Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, a structured approach to nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse
*Supervising team members and contributing to their overall CPD, mandatory training and appraisal process recognising the skills required across the team
*Monitor and review Nursing Care plans
*Prioritise nursing duties and delegate appropriately and effectively within the shift co-ordination Framework, working as nurse in charge as required, ensuring as far as reasonably practicable a safe environment
The applicant must be a Qualified Mental Health Nurse currently registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).
The applicant must have a clear DBS and have recent and relevant experience within a Mental Health setting.
