Job Description

At Northampton General Hospital we provide general acute services and hyper-acute stroke, vascular and renal services to people living in Northamptonshire. As well as this we are an accredited cancer centre and provide cancer services to a wider population of Northamptonshire and parts of Buckinghamshire.

Are you enthusiastic and highly motivated? If you are passionate about promoting normality and providing high quality care for women this could be for you. We are looking for compassionate, forward thinking midwives who can support an innovative and progressive Maternity unit.

Northampton General Hospital Maternity Service is a progressive, innovative and award winning service that facilitates 4800 deliveries per year. We have an alongside Birth Centre and provide services in many specialist areas including :- Community midwifery team for more vulnerable families, Birth after caesarean clinic, ‘Meet the Matron’ clinic, Midwife led scan clinics, Infant feeding team and a proactive/supportive Practice development team. The Maternity unit has a supportive and dynamic PMA team enhancing the focus on staff wellbeing, patient experience and quality improvement with exciting plans to integrate the ‘Better Births’ recommendations into Maternity services.
