Currently Liverpool has two acute Hospital trusts operating over 4 sites; Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (AUHFT) and Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital (RLBUHT) which also looks after Liverpool University Dental Hospital.
The trusts, who have a history of collaborative working to fit the needs of the patients of Liverpool and the North West, have identified additional ways to improve the quality and sustainability of services through further partnership. Our doctors, nurses and health professionals have developed a consistent clinical view that it would be in the best interest of patients if they worked as single clinical teams, delivering the same standards of care, in the same way, across hospital sites. This has led to a proposal to for both organisations to come together as one, through a formal merger.
It is an exciting time of change for our trusts as we take the best of both organisations to deliver outstanding care for our patients. We also have a focus on staff, with an ambition to make the new organisation the best place for staff to train and work. Merger brings with it an opportunity to reconfigure services, provide more diverse opportunities for career development and attract more research funding, leading to enhancement of staff skills by delivering and performing more innovative treatments and taking part in clinical trials. 23 hours per week
We are looking for motivated and experienced MSK Physiotherapists to join our MSK Outpatient Team who are keen to specialise in MSK and to develop their specialist MSK assessment and treatment skills.
We deliver MSK services within both the hospital and community setting with rotations being offered in community GP Practices, Hydrotherapy and Specialist Weight Management. As an organisation we are committed to providing high quality patient care and so the successful post-holders will be welcomed into a supportive environment with a clear supervision structure through which personal and professional development is encouraged.
The successful candidate will have experience, with a broad range of Physiotherapy experience in all core areas including MSK. You must possess good communication, time-management and interpersonal skills, and be motivated and able to work efficiently both alone and as part of a team and be willing to work flexibly to meet service demands. The ability to travel between hospital and patients’ homes is an essential requirement of this post.
Please note - The Trust has several Therapy Teams that deliver a 7 day service and the successful candidate will be required to work flexibly across 7 days.
