Job Description

Agenda Life Sciences are looking to recruit a full-time Named Training and Competency Officer to streamline and optimise training and competency systems at our new facility in Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all those dealing with animals are completely educated, trained, and supervised and continue to undertake training to maintain their expertise.

Basic Requirements:

* Home Office Personal Licence holder

* Ability to train or demonstrate procedural techniques confidently to groups of people

* Excellent knowledge and understanding of ASPA

* Experience and working knowledge of complex animal management software

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Identify training needs and learning outcomes, producing training materials and structured lesson plans to support the training of staff in routine procedures

* Define competency assessments and produce verification of competency documents

* Develop training materials and systems, providing direct training and assessing competency

* Support the development, introduction and publication of new procedures, techniques, and technologies

* Provide classroom, group, and on-the-job training

* Support the delivery of IAT qualifications

* Be able to train local trainers and assessors

* Monitors the completion of Training Records and addresses deficiencies

* Manages the on-boarding of new hires in LAT including weekend working staff

* Work closely with other Training Leads, Educational Officers, Learning and Development and other training groups to identify synergies and maximise efficiencies

* Undertake any task as required from time to time under the direction of the Faculty Manager.
