For those individuals who join the Trust and are based to specific stations (Wexham, High Wycombe and Bracknell) you will receive £1,000 upon joining. In addition to this you will also receive £1,000 if you stay at your allocated station for 12 months post training (i.e. when you have finished in training and 3rd manning). Please note that these sums are subject to the usual deductions of Tax and NI.
In addition to this we can also offer you up to £1,500 relocation expenses for these stations (High Wycombe, Bracknell, Wexham). Relocation expenses will be reimbursed in line with the Trusts relocation procedure and only upon receipts.
Qualified staff who were appointed and registered on 1st September 2016 or after will be appointed as a Newly Qualified Paramedic on the Band 5 range until completion of their two year consolidation of learning period. For candidates transferring from other ambulance trusts their existing progress against the consolidation of learning programme will be recognised.

All we need you to have is:
A full valid UK driving license (including Category B and Category C1 – over 3500kg with no more than 3 points. (You must have as a minimum a Provisional C1 on your license in order for your application to be shortlisted). The Trust motor insurers would not entertain inclusion of any applicants who had had their driving licence removed following a Dangerous Driving or Drink or Drugs offence for a minimum period of 5 years from when their licence is reinstated. Each case would need to be passed to Trust brokers / insurers in order for the individual circumstances to be taken into account
A category C1 element to your driving license (over 3500kg) (minimum of provisional entitlement must be held at the point of application and full entitlement obtained at least one month prior to starting the training)
A paramedic science degree that is recognised by the HCPC
Able to commit to a 6 week (full-time) training programme (paid) and on-going shift work

The 6 week training programme, whilst you’ll be paid, is not residential so you will need to be able to get to the venue and back on your own.
If your application demonstrates that you are good enough to treat our patients and you are what we are looking for, then you will be invited to an assessment centre so that we can see how you behave, respond and drive, these are usually based at either our following location: Nursling Resource Centre (Southampton), Newbury (Berkshire) or Northern House (Bicester, Oxfordshire).
All successful candidates who are offered a job with us will have to undertake clearance from the DBS (Disclosure and Baring Service) and our Occupational Health department.
