Job Description

Within the area of Oxford there is an constant need for fresh new and experienced Band 5 RMN's who have a passion for their job. Essential skills and experience for a Mental Health Nurse:        
         
We require our candidates to be adaptable, flexible, and reliable individuals in this work setting. This can include Sundays and often late evenings for long hours, so commitment is the main quality we look for in an RMN who wants to work through our agency. We need all of our Registered mental health nurses to be approachable and respectful as the wards can be very challenging to work on as well as keeping control of patients whether it be multiple or 1 on 1.
You must have a valid NMC Pin referencing that you are a qualified mental health Nurse.
You must have a valid DBS on the update service.
Minimum 6 months experience in a mental health role.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent practical and organisational skills.
Ability to remain calm, focused and have attention to detail.
 
General duties include:        
 
Comforting, interacting and giving emotional and physical support for patients suffering from acute conditions.
Performing physical exams.
Obtaining medical/health histories.
Providing patients with health promotion, counselling and education.
Administering medications, wound care, and other health interventions.
Working with children and older people in various mental health wards. 
Cooperating with GP's, social workers and other health care professionals.

A payment of up to £30.00 per hour via Umbrella which is paid weekly.
