Job Title - NHS Call Handler
Location - Halton
Hours - 37.5 Hours per Week 9-5
Salary - £10 LTD
Contract - 3 Months Ongoing.
An opportunity has arisen for a Call Handler to join the developing Single Point of Access Service in an NHS service in Halton.
As the first point of contact for our patients and other professionals, the successful applicants will have excellent customer service skills and a helpful and friendly approach;
will work effectively in a fast paced office environment, handling large volumes of telephone calls, some of which may be challenging to deal with;
will need to be flexible and adaptable to the varying demands and changing circumstances and priorities of the services. Communication skills and team working are essential qualities to succeed in this role.
Successful applicants will possess RSA II Typing/Word Processing or equivalent; be educated to GCSE level (Grade C or above in English and Mathematics) or hold equivalent qualifications, or have an equivalent level of experience working in a healthcare access point team; be able to use a PC and standard software packages. Supervision and PDR is offered regularly and the ethos is one of developing staff and successful applicants will be encouraged to further their studies within this role.
The successful applicant must possess a standard DBS check.
