Job Description

NHS Contracts Lead | Commercial Contracting | Band 5 equivalent depending on experience | Solihull, Birmingham | Full Time, Permanent.

Spire Parkway Hospital, located in idyllic Solihull, has a rare opportunity available for an NHS Contracts Lead to join our team on a full time and permanent basis.

As an NHS Contracts lead, you will be pivotal in the analysis and relationship management between the NHS, CCG and NHS Trusts, whilst identifying trends and care packages to ensure we are working to our full potential. This role is an ideal opportunity for an existing Contracts Senior Administrator or equivalent to develop into their next role. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager and Finance Manager to ensure the contract specifications are adhered to. 
  • You will become knowledgeable of hospital processes, and share information with our Hospital teams, to ensure the NHS contracts are managed effectively for the benefit of the patients, the hospital and the local NHS
  • The post holder will build excellent relationships with the local Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups, where you will be pivotal in taking a lead in discussions with these parties when appropriate

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience of working within a similar role would be advantageous, however, we will consider applicants from a Contract Management or equivalent background
  • Medical Terminology and/or Healthcare experience is beneficial
  • You must be driven and happy to work autonomously coupled with a professional attitude with a concern for confidentiality and customer service at all times.
  • MS Excel and analytical skills, with a high degree of accuracy and a methodical approach to your workload
