IT Project Manager
Location - Gillingham, Kent
Pay - £30 per hour LTD
Hours - 37.5 hours per week - 9-5
Start Date - ASAP - 3-month contract, potentially longer.
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Information Technology team within an NHS service situated in Gillingham.
Working as part of the Health Informatics Team, the post holder will project manage and lead the delivery of IT systems implementations which are part of the HI Strategy. This will include newly procured systems, in house developed systems and where appropriate the upgrade of existing systems.
Providing project management oversight to ensure the successful delivery of all project activities including: process redesign and business change management, system testing, training, infrastructure and interfacing and to ensure effective project governance including meeting agreed timescale, quality and budgets.
The Role sits within the Programme Management Office, which forms part of the Health Informatics and IT Services and follows the PRINCE2 methodology employing technology and process to ensure projects achieve the best possible outcomes to the benefit of all stakeholders, both internal and external to the Trust.
The HI Project Manager will pro-actively communicate with key stakeholders on the development and delivery of project products, ensuring that they are managed in line with best practice standards and according to project product descriptions and work packages and ensuring that risks and issues are managed effectively through the RAID log to enable benefit realisation.
•A good understanding of NHS.
•A good understanding of the working processes within clinical areas.
•A good knowledge of the use of information and information systems used in the NHS
•Knowledge of Clinical Governance and Information Governance
•Knowledge and understanding of Caldicott guidance and the Data Protection Act
•Management of risk and the mitigation of risk.
•Proven experience demonstrating proficiency of MS Office applications
•PRINCE 2 Evidence of continued professional development
