Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) - Leeds

£40,000 - £44,400 salary

Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Linq Healthcare are proud to be supporting a drug and alcohol misuse charity based in Leeds who are recruiting for a NMP

Our client is a national charity with over 1,200 staff and around 100 volunteers providing services for over 76,000 people. They are proud to hold the Investors in People Gold award which reflects that value their staff have and the support we provide.

They have specialist services across England which include drug and alcohol, clinical, children, young people and families, health and well-being, employment, training and education, health and well-being, criminal justice and offender rehabilitation, gender specific and housing and housing support services.

This is an opportunity to not only deliver clinical and prescribing services in supportive environment, but to be involved in shaping the service to ensure the people of Staffordshire receive the best possible support.

Key elements of this role include:

Undertake service user centred: assessments, care planning and delivery, monitoring, evaluation and reviews in practice and outreach settings
Contribute to the maintenance of service users clinical databases
Work in conjunction with the clinical team in developing and delivering prescribing treatment modalities for service users, with competences
Deliver health promotion and harm reduction interventions in a service user-centred manner
Take lead to co-ordinate and deliver immunisation testing and vaccination programme
Support Hepatitis C testing and treatment
Deliver advice on safer sex, contraception, nutrition and healthy living
Prescribe cost effectively and according to professional guidance, best practice and national/company policy
Liaise with pharmacists regarding supervised dispensing and prescription queries
Provide prescribing information and advice to pharmacy and GP
Liaise with all agencies delivering services to or sharing care of service usersPerson specification:

Qualified Nurse or Pharmacist with current and valid registration
Independent Prescriber qualification
