Job Summary

UK Care and Nursing are currently recruiting for a Nurse Assistant on behalf of our client within the Somerset area. Our client has numerous Care homes throughout the UK and are currently recruiting in Somerset. The successful candidate will be patient and caring and able to provide a quality service to residents within a care home environment whilst enabling them to lead an active and independent life. The successful candidate will assist the registered nurse on shift with providing nursing care in accordance with best practice and legislation requirements under the direction of the nurse in charge and clinical lead.


• £9.48 per hour

Job Role

The successful candidate will:-

• Be an essential part of the team, promoting the well-being and providing the highest quality care to residents

• Carry out duties delegated by the registered nurse

• Control and administer drugs

• Assist the RGN in providing nursing care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures

• Carry out basic wound care that has been delegated by the RGN

• Carry out clinical observations

• Ensuring all care plans are up to date and daily records completed

Education, Skills and qualifications

The successful candidate will:-

• Have previous experience within a care home environment

• Be highly motivated

• NVQ in health and social care

• Be a good team player

• The ability to work well with others

• Be compassionate and understanding

• Be trustworthy, sociable and have a good sense of humour
