Nurse Manager - Learning Disability Nurse (RGN/RMN)

Grade: Band 7

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum

Location: Bromley

Permanent, Full time - 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday 8 - 4:30pm)

Pulse is excited to work in partnership with one of the UK's leading healthcare providers to recruit a Nurse Manager - Learning Disability Nurse (RGN/RMN) to join their team.

The unit provides a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including physical, communication and sensory disabilities, medical conditions or autism, in addition to learning disabilities, from severe to profound.

Roles and responsibilities:

Manage the health and medical needs of the students.
Enable students to access education.
Enable students to have suitable support during residence at college.
Enable students to make effective use of opportunities for learning and leisure across the extended curriculum.
Ensure effective communications both internally and externally.
Be a member of the Nash Safeguarding Team Training/Experience.
Work with the Regional Manager and Head Teacher to ensure the service complies with Livability Policy & Procedure and CQC.

Skills and experience:

Current Nursing Registration as a First level registered nurse - adult, learning disability or mental health (Essential).
Evidence of continuing professional development (Essential).
An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to creating safe environment (Essential).
Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission standards (Essential).
Knowledge of physical and learning disability and medical issues including, epilepsy, respiratory disorders, gastrostomy care and autism (Essential)
CQC level 5 management qualification (Desirable).
