We are committed to improving the physical health of all our patients by delivering high quality clinical care which is value based and leads to outcomes that matter to the patient and their carers. Alongside this we are striving to achieve parity of esteem, giving equal value to Mental Health as to Physical Health. To accomplish this we are expanding our Physical Healthcare service and now have an exciting opportunity fora Nurse Practitioner to be at the forefront of this service delivery.

St Andrew`s Healthcare is the UK`s largest mental health charity. We offer specialist services for men, women, adolescents and older people across mental health, learning disability, brain injury and degenerative disorders such as Huntington`s and Alzheimer`s. Putting Patient`s needs at the heart of everything we do, we have built an innovative culture of clinical expertise.

You will provide physical healthcare for the presenting patient and be able to demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert physical health care for patients within a mental health setting.

The post holder will provide care for the presenting patient, from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.

You will be able to diagnose and manage acute, chronic and long term conditions, integrating both pharmacological and non-pharmacological based treatment methods into a management plan.

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who has recent experience in urgent or primary care and has a special interest in one or more of the following areas: diabetes, women`s health, epilepsy, long term conditions, tissue viability and/or palliative care.
