Job Description

OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced & confident Occupational Health Advisor to join our client at their site located in Edinburgh. Our client has decided to bring their Occupational Health Department In-House as they are looking to build a national Occupational Health Team.

My client is offering ongoing training/ CPD, excellent benefits and further career progression as you will be an integral part of the growth and development of the OH team and service. They are looking to develop a leading OH department with the health & wellbeing of their employees at the forefront of the service.

You will be located at the office in Edinburgh, however, will be required to travel to company sites dotted all around Scotland regularly on a weekly basis. You will be provided with a vehicle to drive to these sites with all your equipment loaded onto it. There is a possibility that you would need to stay overnight in a hotel which will be book and paid for by the company.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


Travel to client sites all around Scotland.


Plan and Deliver Health Surveillance Programmes


Case Management


Sickness Absence


Fitness to work assessments


Return to work assessments


Health Promotion and Education


Involved In UK Wide Health initiatives


Sickness Trends


Management and Mentoring of Occupational Health Technician(s)


HAVs Tier 3 would be ideal but is not essential

Essential Requirement:


OH qualification at diploma or degree level, or equivalent is desirable


Recognised qualification in Hand Arm Vibration to tier 3 level (or be willing to undertake the training as part of the role)


Good IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office packages
