An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, innovative, flexible and well-motivated Occupational Therapist to join the Integrated Therapy Team based in East Cornwall.

We deliver Occupational Therapy in the East Cornwall Locality to individuals with a Primary Physical Health condition in a variety of ways:

Liskeard Community Hospital - a GP led 44 bedded rehabilitation unit working as part of a team of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nursing and Therapy Support workers. Launceston Community Hospital as above but 18 bedded.

Community Rehabilitation Team - within the person's home environment and intervention targeted at a wide variety of conditions, eg long term, neurological, orthopaedic, falls, frailty.

Intermediate Care - a more urgent service and working closely with the Home First/Early Intervention team in the most appropriate environment for the individual.

The Integrated Therapy team works closely with Specialist Therapy teams and is part of the East Cornwall Locality Integrated Care Team working with community Nursing, Social Care, Volunteer and Mental Health teams.

Within your role of Band 5 Occupational Therapist you will be expected to provide supervision for junior staff, participate in Student Education and deputise for the East Integrated Occupational Therapy Lead.

It will be an expectation of this post that the person works flexibly across all areas of care.

Being able to drive and having access to a vehicle are essential for this post.

Regular clinical supervision will be provided and continuing professional development encouraged. We would welcome information visits to the team.
