About the post:
We are looking for a hard working, motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our established occupational therapy team working in medium secure provision within the Men`s Medium IPU. You will work alongside occupational therapists and provide gender specific intervention for males with complex mental health problems, forensic histories, including Brain Injury.
Under supervision by the Occupational Therapists, you will plan and undertake individual and group sessions aiming to maintain and enhance service users` skills. You will be expected to be involved in a wide range of activities to meet the diverse needs of the service users.
You will be expected to work under minimal supervision and take responsibility for designated tasks and projects and work within a wider MDT.
You need to be a good team player, able to work under pressure and have sound communication skills. You also need to be flexible and creative and demonstrate good self- management and organisational skills. Information technology skills would be an advantage.
