This hospital offers a high calibre of evidence-based nursing care in a clinical environment. Nurses will work as a part of a multidisciplinary team while being offered an autonomous way of working combined to ensure that the patients care is the number one priority. This hospital is widely known for offering treatment and high-quality care to patients with cancer. The overall responsibility within this role is to deliver consistent and exceptional physical and psychological care in a compassionate and caring manner to patients. By providing care to the patients, you will also work as part of a wider team to ensure the patients needs are cared for.


Working as an oncology nurse you will be responsible for planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and discharges to the unit, working to ensure close monitoring of patients to avoid/predict deterioration and manage care appropriately. You will comply and promote infection control standards and co-ordinate with other team members to ensure patients to be readmitted are rescheduled and booked according to procedure. As an oncology nurse you will also be responsible for the administration of cytotoxic drugs. Maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care will be part of your daily responsibilities along with any other ad hoc duties required by senior members of staff.


Registered Nurse
Nursing Degree
ILS Certificate (be willing to complete during first 3 months)
NMC Registration


To be eligible for the role, you will need to:

• Have at least 1 year post graduation experience and a valid NMC registration
• Have experience of working in a Staff Nurse position
• Experience desirable in dealing with chemotherapy, venipuncture and wound care.
• Be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Have excellent communication skills and be a good team player.
• Must be able to drive as well as having office space to work from home
• Previously worked with full autonomy in a role
