Job Description

Online PR & Marketing Support Manager

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience

The Role:

We are looking for an Online PR & Marketing Manager with experience in the Health & Social Care Industry to join our team and enrich our website, social media and literature with new blog posts, guides and marketing copy.

Responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and preparing articles for publication. If you're familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we'd like to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles along with your application.

Ultimately, you'll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.

You will:

  • Use up to date and relevant research to develop current content within the website and online presence - driving page views and traffic to our websites through excellently written articles on current industry news
  • Drive PR AVE (advertising value) through updated news stories both about the company and individual homes (this will have a £s per person target)
  • Help drive private occupancy through developing brand presence online and through new platforms as they come on board
  • Help support stakeholder engagement through topical content for website and stakeholder engagement mediums
  • Help develop and support care homes to write and submit articles for their homes - in line with the company yearly sales/marketing and PR plan
  • Proactive support to the recruitment of new team members through online content, news articles and developing new streams of awareness about Excelcare
  • Help drive internal understanding of the value of PR by supporting Lifestyle teams on what makes good content/photos and stories for the online world
  • Continually benchmark v competitor set - being willing to respond to new articles and industry news without delay

Skills & Experience:

  • Business awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs.
  • Able to liaise with, instruct and build relations with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
  • Portfolio of published articles
  • Experience doing research using multiple sources
  • Familiarity with web publications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English
  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and respond flexibly.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Qualifications in Marketing, English, Journalism or a related field would be beneficial
