An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Clinical Services Lead for Omnitrope Growth Hormone. You will support the delivery of a high-quality service and help grow the business by acting as an acknowledged therapy area expert and clinical lead nurse.  Use knowledge and insight to optimise clinical governance, develop skills and capabilities of Homecare Nurses, and ensure the patient support programme and operational services are fulfilled to the agreed standards.

What does an Operational Clinical Services Lead do at Healthcare at Home?

  • Actively champion clinical nurse excellence across the division, and ensure all nurses who treat patients are supported and have the infrastructure and skills to deliver excellence.
  • To assist with Endocrinology theoretical education.
  • To be a recognised expert and credible in both the therapy area and operational implementation of services
  • To maintain up-to-date cutting-edge knowledge of the designated specialty service by attending congresses and self-study; act as a resource and guardian of associated national standards.
  • Effectively collaborate & communicate with the Pharmaceutical client & NHS centres to inform service reviews, business development meetings, and the development of new or revised patient support programmes.
  • Optimise compliance with quality standards & exercise clinical leadership
  • Design and deliver robust training programmes
  • Support service developments and continuous improvement

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

Fundamentally we are looking for someone who can motivate others and exercise clinical leadership and has a track record of successfully training and developing other nurses.  We also require you to have a commercial awareness and to be able to both influence and motivate people.  You will have strong communication skills and a team player that build strong relationships with others both internal and external stakeholders.    

You will be a Registered Nurse ( Adult or Child) and ideally have a postgraduate qualification in Endocrinology.  Ideally you will have previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Endocrinology and have an understanding of the challenges facing the NHS and patients around adherence and persistence to growth hormone therapy. 

This role will require travel; therefore, it is crucial that you have full UK driving licence.
