Outpatient Administrators | Customer Service | Southampton | Part time | Fixed term contract and Permanent roles | £9.23 per hour
Spire Southampton are looking for 2 administrators to join our fantastic Outpatients team on a part time basis. One role will be a fixed term contract for 12 months and the other one will be permanent.

1 x role – Fixed Term – 12 Months (maternity cover) – 25 hrs per week – on rota between Mon to Sat (hours between 7:30 am and 9:30 pm)
1 x role – Permanent – 30 hours per week – on rota between Mon to Sat – covering predominantly evening hours ( 5 pm to 9:30 pm) but can also have shifts during day time
Spire Southampton provides a wide range of services including daycare and inpatient and outpatient services. The main activity is elective (planned) surgery, and more complex procedures such as cardiac and spinal surgery are supported by the onsite critical care facilities. The hospital works in partnership with local NHS acute hospital trusts, for example in recent provision of robotic surgery, and there is a large refurbished outpatient department along with extensive diagnostic imaging services
Duties and responsibilities:
Based in our Outpatients department, you will be expected to provide a range of administrative tasks including booking appointments over the phone and face to face and assisting with general requests from our Outpatients team. This is a busy and varied role that demands excellent customer service at all times and strong attention to detail.
Who we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a busy environment where time management is essential
- You will need to have excellent customer service skills and have a caring demeanor as you speak with patients
- Experience of or knowledge of Healthcare would be beneficial but by no means a necessity as full training will be provided
- Strong IT skills
- Team player
- Multi tasking skills
