Central London               
Permanent, FT - 37.5 hrs                
Up to £36,000 plus enhancements

Client Information:           
Our client is one of London's leading private hospitals with over 30 years of experience providing world class healthcare. The hospital is a specialist provider of cardiac, cancer and neurology care to adults and children, including young babies. With their state of the art facilities spanned across various clinic sites they are able to offer the most advanced treatments to their patients.          
We are currently looking to recruit Paediatric Nurses to work in the PICU department one of their facilities based in Central London.      
Reporting into senior members of staff you will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standard of care is provided to patients and their families at all times. You will work to ensure that each child is assessed and their care is thoroughly planned, implemented and evaluated in a family centred way, ensuring to adequately document everything. You work will to provide care while developing your clinical understanding of the various therapies and drugs used in Paediatric ICU. An integral part of your day to day is to thoroughly understand the use and assembly of the various equipment used with the PCIU department, understanding the necessary safety precautions and regular health and safety checks required. You will be also be competent in administering paediatric drugs and IV and ensure that clinical practice is evidence based or peer reviewed. You will also work to monitor adequate stock levels and supplies. Working in this role will involve the ability to communicate complex and sensitive information to patients and their families and helping them to overcome any barriers to understanding, while also providing support during distressing or emotional events    
Working hours are based on a rotational shift pattern                
To be considered for this role you will have experience of working as a Paediatric Nurse or within HDU, PICU or NICU along with RCN NMC registration. You will have basic/intermediate paediatric life support and a good understanding of safeguarding issues. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player.
