Job Role:

As a Paediatric Nurse you will:

• Coordinate and support children and young people’s experience across all areas of the hospital

• Provide pre and post operation care, assessing the needs of the patient, planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care

• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

• Ensure compliance and documentation is in line with hospital policies and national guidelines

• Administer prescribed medication

• Organisation skills

• Ensure that patients receive a high-quality service

• Be able to work to your own initiative

Experience & Skills:

• Have previous experience in surgical nursing care

• 2 years nursing experience

• EPALS (European Paediatric Advanced Life Support) certification

• Possess and active NMC pin

• Flexibility and adaptability

• Have written numerical and verbal communication skills

• Be confident in communicating with your colleagues ensuring that you maintain excellent working relationships

• Be self-motivated, resilient, and well organised and able to work well under pressure


• Experience in the private sector

• Experience in paediatric care

• Enhanced clinical skills, Phlebotomy, cannulation and ECGs
