As a Pain Specialist Physiotherapist delivering NHS services with us you will receive a AFC salary of up to £44,606- including an NHS pension. You will be Educated to degree level within the field of physiotherapy medicine.
As the Pain Specialist Physiotherapist you'll be delivering high quality, individualised, evidence-based care to complex musculoskeletal pain patients including delivery of a pain management programme and BeST programme for long term back pain as per the pain pathway. You'll work closely with other health professionals such as a clinical psychologist, CBT therapist and pain medications prescriber involved in providing the Luton CMSK pain management programme / pain service. This will involve regular MDT meetings to ensure optimal patient care. You will liaise with physiotherapists and Extended Scope Practitioners to ensure continuity of care for patients. You may be involved in audit and training of other staff in the management of long term pain.
We have built organisation-wide committees in many specialist fields. You'll have the option to join your clinical specialism, networking with professionals from across the country. We get together regularly, auditing and sharing standard methodology for innovation and service re-design. You'll be a part of the pool of subject matter experts bringing together clinical and operational leads. You will be a part of quality improvements, research and development activity.
