Band 6 Perioperative Clinical Educator Theatre Central

University Hospitals Plymouth is currently looking to recruit Perioperative Clinical Educators Band 6 working across all areas of perioperative practice – scrub, anaesthetics or recovery. The practitioner we are seeking to appoint must be highly motivated individual, passionate about perioperative practice and with the minimum of 2 years perioperative clinical experience. You will be part of a growing perioperative education team working to a forward thinking education strategy. You will facilitate and deliver classroom based learning, simulation programme and skills updates as well as hands on practice based clinical support. You will play a key role in promoting perioperative careers for registered and unregistered staff.Additionally, as part of the dedicated Perioperative Clinical Educator team you will maintain your clinical skills by working alongside the teams in practice, ensuring that the theatre teams are supported and that you remain current in perioperative practices.

We are a large acute NHS Trust in the Southwest of England, situated on the Devon and Cornwall border and providers of perioperative care for elective and emergency patients across the region.  The hospital is a designated Trauma Centre and tertiary referral centre for Neurological and Cardiac patients. The Trust is a teaching hospital with close links to the Peninsula Medical School and the University of Plymouth.
