Hunter AHP Resourcing have an urgent locum opportunity based within a very commutable distance for one Pharmacy Technician within an NHS Hospital.

This role requires significant knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures and experience as an accredited checking technician. Our client in the region is currently seeking two Locum Band 5 Pharmacy Technicians on an immediate basis. This is an opportunity to work in an NHS Pharmacy team on a 3-6 month basis, to assist with the increased pressure of the covid-19 pandemic.

The responsibilities will include participation in the dispensing and checking of prescriptions for in-patients and out-patients and in associated pharmaceutical duties. Ward based medicines management pharmacy duties include- medicines reconciliation, assembly and checking of discharge prescriptions (TTOs), ordering medication, counselling patients.

This role is due to start immediately, with a working pattern of Monday – Friday, 5 days per week, 9am – 5pm with 30 mins for lunch, may also include weekend shifts.
The contract length of this role will be up 3-6 months, and the emphasis on this role is very much an ASAP start. Pay rate for this role will depend on your prior experience.

-       Locum Pharmacy Technician – ACT

-       £18 – £21 per hour (negotiable)

-       Start date: Immediately

-       Duration: 3 - 6 months.

-       Full time hours: ideally 37.5 per week.

-       5 days per week, weekend working a possibility.
