Polymer Technologist
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire.
Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum dependent on experience.
Hours: 36 hours per week.
Benefits: Pension + Life Assurance Scheme + Bonus + 25 days holiday per year.

About the Role:
As part of this drive we are able to offer an exciting opportunity for a Polymer Technologist to join the Technical Department. The person appointed will be given appropriate training in the use and development of industrial polymers in our product. You will either be looking to start a career in the polymer development field with appropriate qualifications or seeking to move onto the second rung of the career ladder. This appointment represents an excellent opportunity for career progression within the department, including providing assistance to our sister companies around the world which is likely to involve some overseas travel.
Suitable candidates will:
• Be qualified to degree level in a Polymer or related science discipline and/or have experience of working in a technical capacity in an industrial polymer’s environment. Entry with A level science qualifications may be considered.
• Demonstrate an interest in gaining knowledge of our production equipment and its interface with the polymers / textiles we process
• Enjoy the challenge of troubleshooting in a production environment
• Be seeking a career in technical product development
You can expect to be given early responsibility through allocation of your own directed projects to progress and will therefore need to be self-motivated, have good problem-solving skills and be comfortable liaising with shop floor staff through to senior management.
