Calling all Porters within the Cambridge area! You are needed for an NHS Hospital! What a time to be able to help.
Your role would be to
Move minor equipment, furniture etc. Be responsible for ensuring porter vans are maintained to the Trust standard, taxed and MOT Make sure vehicles checks are carried out as directed in local procedures Be responsible for collective WEEE items across the Trust Receive and check food deliveries, checking delivery temperature and reporting discrepancies Deliver meals on a daily basis to and from the kitchen onto the ward areas in hub Collect pharmacy boxes and pathological specimens Collect dirty linen and distribute clean linen. Be responsible for cleaning designated areas and cover for domestic staff Keep fire exits clear Collect of all waste streams ensuring compliance with waste regulations regarding transportation, storage and retention of waste documents. Ensure that any waste bins in outside public areas are regularly emptied Undertake daily security checks, as required Accept deliveries, assist in unloading of stores, transfer to Hospital stores and departments Distribute general supplies. Keep stores and medical gas compound clean and tidy. Deliver oxygen to ECT suites. Clean lightfittings and clean shower grills and ventsYou will be required to:
Drive the Trust tug vehicle Push heavy carts Bend and reach to dust, clean & make beds Stand & walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods Follow Health & Safety regulations and report untoward incidents and hazardFor such a time as this, you should especially maintain a friendly approach and keep communication lines should be kept as clear and open with staff, patients and visitors.
This role is paying £11ph Umbrella, with an immediate start. It is most ideal if you drive and have an in date DBS.
