We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly team for 20 hours per week, preferably worked over 4 days per week.
We are a busy practice based in the centre of Oldham. Our Nursing team comprises of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 1 other Practice Nurse and a Health Care Assistant. You will be supported by lively, friendly reception and admin teams. We use EMIS Web clinical system.
We will prioritise applications from Nurses with previous primary care experience who are proficient in all basic skills such as phlebotomy, BP checks and providing health screening and advice to patients. A significant part of the role will entail management of patients with diabetes, asthma and COPD, but will also include family planning, cytology, childhood immunisations, travel advice, vaccinations and ear irrigation. Successful candidates will have experience in these procedures and long term condition management.
We will also be interested to talk to newly qualified nurses who have undertaken placements in general practice and are interested in career development in this area.
In return we will offer a competitive rate of pay (negotiable depending on experience) and access to on-going training and development, so that you are fully integrated into the practice team and supported for revalidation.
