First People Solutions are recruiting for a GMP Production Scientist to join an expanding Pharmaceutical Manufacturer based in the Edinburgh area. The company has modern, well equiped laboratories, MHRA licenses and GMP Production facilities. This role will contribute to the delivery of a variety of Polyclonal Antibody projects within the necessary time constraints to cGMP standards.

Responsibilites:

Scale-up, processing, validation, and accurate completing of batch documentation for manufacturing campaigns.
Review and maintain equipment.
Liaise with the Procurement team to ensure that materials are available.
Adhere to the general running of the clean room facility (working to cGMP).
Must be able to work shift periodically with ample advance notice.Qualifications/Experience Required:

BSc/HND Qualification in a relevant scientific discipline (microbiology/biochemistry/chemistry graduates would be of preference).
Alternatively, appropriate experience working within a relevant regualted environment, e.g. GLP, GMP, ISO/IEC 17025.Desirable:

Industry experience in a cGMP compliant organsiation carrying out downstream processing and purification of proteins would be a distinct advantage.
Experience in writing and completion of quality documentation.
Practical knowledge of aseptic techniques gained working within a cleanroom environment.
Familiarity with carrying out enviromental monitoring for viable and non-viable particles
