QC Analyst job in Chester at SRG

An opportunity for a QC Analyst to join an innovative Biotechnology Company based in Cheshire on a 12 month contract, with the potential to turn permanent.

Job Title: QC Analyst

Duration: 12 Months (potential to go permanent)

Location: Cheshire

SRG are working with an innovative Biotechnology company who are looking for a QC Analyst to join their team on an initial 12 month basis. You will join the company's quality team in testing finished products and also raw materials and in process samples, from time to time.

Responsibilities include:

Carrying out wet chemical and analytical techniques such as HPLC and capillary electrophoresis on finished products
Carrying out maintenance and troubleshooting on instruments when needed
Data trending and assisting in the performance of quality investigations
Carry out microbiological tests on products when needed

Preparation and execution of laboratory protocols and reports, as assigned.

Laboratory maintenance- housekeeping, self-inspections and stock control - support the re-order systems and communication with key suppliers.

Ensure that all laboratory activities are in compliance with all Health & Safety Guidelines, with particular reference to COSHH and Biological Safety Regulations and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

Requirements:

BSc or equivalent in a life science discipline i.e. Biochemistry
Hands on experience using HPLC in a bioanalytical laboratory
Experience in protein analysis and/or large molecule analysis
Proven experience in writing and reviewing analytical reports
Working in an GMP environment is preferred
Able to work to short timelines and prioritise tasks
