Brightwork are supporting with the recruitment of a QC Lab Technician to join one of our prestigious manufacturing clients at their site on a Full Time, Temp to perm Basis with an Immediate start.

The successful candidate will provide a microbiological/chemical analytical service and support for GMP and quality issues to the site.  They will ensure the continuity of the processes in a safe manner such that samples are analysed promptly against current specifications and results reported in accordance with the instructions.

Duties include:

Undertakes all general QC testing for raw materials, site water systems, validation and finished goods and initiates out of specification investigations and deviations as they are identified
Takes samples from the site water systems
Coordinates sending of samples for external analysis and monitors return of test results, escalating any OOS, late or delayed results
Participates in customer and regulatory audits (ISO, IPEC, corporate etc) as required
Participates in the development of relevant procedures, and where required, update of controlled documents to fulfil testing requirements
Actively utilises SAP for the reporting of QC results and review of final results
Coordinates additional testing of complaint or stability samples as per customer requests
Assists in execution of validation protocols as required
Participates in risk assessment and root cause analysis evaluation activities as required
Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives relating to QC testing activities
Participates in department training and where required development and performance of training to meet site training needs
Actively participates in the EHS responsibilities for all functions performed within QC
The successful candidates will possess:

A Degree in a Scientific related field such as Microbiology, Chemistry.
Experience working or studying in a GMP Lab based environment, analysing samples, collecting data and running reports.
Working experience is preferred but not essential as full training is provided
