Job Description

We are currently looking for a QC Microbiology Manager to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based in the Wiltshire area. As the QC Microbiology Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the QC Microbiology department.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the QC Microbiology Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will be responsible for managing a department of 40 - 50 Microbiologists of varying levels. This will involve manage the performance and output of the Microbiology Team (including direct managerial reports).
2. The QC Microbiology Manager will work with other managers in the Quality team to ensure that manufacturing and quality activities are performed in compliance with cGMP.
3. You will be responsible for leading regulatory audits of the QC Microbiology group including regulatory audits, internal audits and customer audits.
4. The QC Microbiology Manager will also be responsible for recruiting staff and planning staff development succession planning to meet current and future needs of the process and production.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the QC Microbiology Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a Life Sciences or Microbiology related discipline plus industry experience.
2. Proven industry experience managing in a team within a pharmaceutical/industrial setting.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience of operating and managing quality systems for compliance to regulatory requirements.
