A chemical manufacturer based in the Lancashire area are currently looking to recruit a QC Technician to their expanding site.
With good a supportive team, long standing success in the industry and excellent motorway links, the position is an ideal role for someone coming from another QC environment, or even from the likes of an apprenticeship scheme in a similar environment and may even suit a recent graduate.
Analysis of samples, following written methods & recording results in an accurate & timely manner Awareness of & adherence to GMP for applicable products Conducting audits on filling lines & recording the results Assisting with customer complaints Assisting with recording & investigating non-conformances Investigating out of spec results - calculating additions needed for the product to be in spec Weighing dyes & raw materials, as necessary, for the Production department Liaising with R&D in testing new formulations ConduCting initial measurement checks against a sample for new incoming raw materials Use of computer software, including LIMS Conducting calibrations of laboratory equipment Conducting cleaning of equipment & the laboratory in line with Health & Safety legislation Ordering equipment, chemicals, & any other goods or services required for use in the laboratories & maintaining accurate records Maintain clear & accurate records of tasks performed, for the purposes of auditing Support & help with training of other members of staff Identification & resolution of personal development & training
Knowledge, skills and experience:
A minimum of "O" level or "GCSE" qualifications to include; Science Mathematics English Experience in a QC Environment, standard chemistry techniques Strong communication, organisational skills & the effective use of time management, ability to prioritise & manage workload Motivational competencies Motivate others Lead by example Interpersonal competencies Result focused mindset Recognise diverse opinions Reduce conflict & promote harmony
