Mammographer with General X ray Rotation

An opportunity has arisen to join our expanding Mammography department located in a custom built suite where you will be working as part of our friendly enthusiastic team.

We are a Symptomatic Unit providing One Stop Clinics for the Optimal patient service.

Our unit is currently expanding to enhance the service we provide with the installation of an additional mammography room with the facility to perform TomoSynthesis.

Our team is rapidly developing, with mammographers undertaking role extension into Mammography Reporting and Interventional Roles.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals provides Radiology services to the area from 4 sites. Our facilities are modern and well equipped. The trust has invested in DR X-ray technology, 2 dedicated Interventional suites and Digital Mammography. This is a teaching department associated with the Universities of Cumbria and Salford.

About the Role:-

As a qualified Mammographer you will spend time performing mammograms and assisting in interventional procedures performed by Advanced Practitioners or Consultant Radiologists.

You will be a key part of the mammography team enabling patients to receive timely procedures and enabling better access and efficiencies in the unit. You will be expected that you assist in the training of radiographers to become mammographers.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
