Job Description

Quality & Governance Lead - Bromley

Role purpose

The Quality & Governance Lead is a vital role within our quality and governance team at Excelcare. The team provide quality assurance controls and support to our care and nursing homes to ensure our sites are in line with CQC regulation, best practice and necessary clinical standards.

You’ll be working with the rest of the team in a fast paced environment to continually improve standards of regulatory compliance within our care homes which cover South London, Essex, Cambridge and Milton Keynes.

About you

  • Thorough knowledge of the intricacies of clinical standards and regulatory requirements of the CQC is key for this role
  • Proven experience of developing and enforcing quality standards in a care setting
  • The ability to identify and enforce improvements where necessary with the use of existing policies, procedures and monitoring tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to challenge, act independently, make judgements and decisions
  • To support staff and teams where improvements are required
  • Key attributes will be objective, a lateral thinker, analytical, creative, strong integrity and mature persuasive communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent standards of care.
  • Ability to liaise with external monitoring/regulatory bodies.
  • You will deliver coaching and/or facilitation to others as part of this process, and set up performance monitoring and audit processes to track progress and achievement.

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • You will be committed to providing the highest care standards.
  • Must have good knowledge of a nursing service.
  • Must have a driving licence and be willing to travel (Expenses are re-imbursed)
  • Knowledge of quality standards
  • CQC legislation knowledge including KLOE’s and regulations.
  • Previous experience in an audit or quality governance role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
