Pertemps are recruiting for a fantastic company based in Corby, Northamptonshire for a Quality Control Technician.

My client is particularly interested in people who want to further expand on a typical Quality Control position.
Working Monday to Friday core daytime hours, however a degree of flexibility is required with start and finish times to suit the business needs.
Some core key skills required are:
Test and record the physical and application properties of raw materials and adhesives uing prescribed test methods and procedures including Karl Fisher, FTIR and Tensile meaurements. Assist the Technical Manager in the day to day running of the quality and laboratory departments.
Prepare and maintain good record keeping with accurate documentation. Writing testing and protocols and reports
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and customers
Analysis of returned products to identify root cause
Prepare and produce laboratory trials, product development, sample batches and relevant documentation to agree methods and specifications
Maintain the company internal calibration system to agreed methods, specifications and schedules as documented in the calibration manual
Experience and qualifications:
Educated in chemistry or related discipline to degree or equivalent level with experience in a QC role in the chemicals industry
High level of IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and including Microsoft Excel
Ideally with 4 years of experience of working in a chemicals or related industries under quality control environment
Ability to work independently with methodological approach to testing and act on the test results
Previous experience with a SAGE, SAP or similar planning system will be a distinct advantage
Good numeracy and organisational skills, attention to detail and computer literate
Must hold a current drivers licence
Experience of working polymer manufacture, chemicals or related industries.
Previous experience with a SAGE, SAP or similar material planning system.
Possess familiarity and good understanding of ISO 9001:2005 and ISO 14001:2015 and typical quality tools
