Quality Technologist / QA - Wells - £28-30k DOE plus 10% bonus
My Client, a well-established and award winning food manufacturer is looking to recruit a Quality Technologist / QA / Quality Auditor / Quality Improvement technologist for their modern state of the art factory based near Wells in Somerset.  The successful candidate will complete, coordinate and drive activities to ensure that technical and site project work progresses smoothly and improvement plans are delivered. To support Technical and other site teams on delivering development strategy as well as day-to-day running plans.
This is a Monday - Friday day based role paying a salary of £28-30k DOE as well as a 10% bonus, matched pension, free parking and a subsidised canteen..  
Quality Technologist / QA / Quality Auditor key TASKS:      
•Identify and plan opportunities for improvement within food quality and safety
•Lead New Machinery release process
•Support site cross-functional project work from technical perspective
•Lead/support quality and food safety projects as required
•Complete process audits and follow up with agreed corrective action plan
•Perform trials when necessary and follow up on the trial's outcome
•Liaise with external organizations when required (i.e. equipment suppliers)
•Support/lead investigations on internal rejections and food safety/quality incidents complaints (incl. root cause analysis and follow up)
•Assist on complaints and near miss investigations and associated improvement plans (incl. root cause analysis and corrective actions)
•Support in the completion of internal audits, including standards audits,
•Provide coaching and training to staff to ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards
•Support site in maintaining highest BRC Grade accreditation
•Support development of documentation in line with QMS standards
•Support Technical Team with workload when required
QA Technologist Experience / Skills Required:
•Food science related qualification
•Auditor training
•Can do attitude
