Mental Health Liaison Practitioner - RAID ( Rapid Assessment Interface and Discharge) Team
We are seeking to recruit experienced mental health psychiatric nurses/Social Worker with experience of working across adult age groups ideally in a general hospital setting or with experience of acute assessment .
The teams hours of operation are 24 hours a day 7 days a week
The post holders will be based at Watford Hospital in Watford . The successful candidate will work within a Multi-Disciplinary evidenced based Mental Health Liaison model that focuses on early identification and rapid response of Service Users presenting in A&E or admitted to hospital. The team also provides on-going training to general hospital staff with regards to the recognition and treatment of mental health problems.
The role will require close working with the Acute Trusts across a range of services to ensure early identification of mental health issues.
The team will work with Service Users from age 17 upwards and would welcome qualified nurses with experience of acute assessment of older or younger adults in a community setting to ensure faster decision making and earlier discharge.
The successful applicants will need excellent assessment and communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
