Our client is one of the UK's leading providers in long and short terms residential care in the UK. They offer services for older people who need the support, people living with dementia as well as providing accommodation and support for people looking for assisted living. They also offer a range of service's for adults with severe disabilities or mental health needs. Our client strives to make their homes as stimulating and fulfilling as possible for everyone in their care through a person centred approach.
We are currently looking to nurses to work in one of their care homes based in the tranquil village of Henfield in West Sussex. They have a dedicate team in place who are extremely passionate about providing the best standard of care to residents. The home is beautifully maintained and boasts award winning gardens that the residents can enjoy. They currently offer care to patients across a range of area including dementia, old age, physical disability as well as offering specialist treatment in cancer care, celebral palsy, Huntington's disease, motor neurone disease and Parkinson's disease to name a few.
Reporting into the care home manager you will be responsible for delivering high quality nursing care to residents at all times. Your day to day will involve assessing the physical, psychological and social needs of residents, compiling care plans, administering medications and thorough record keeping. You will act as a support to senior members of staff and assist where necessary. Part of your role will involve recording incidents accurately and in a timely manner. You will act as an on-going support for all residents helping them to understand the aging process and how it affects their health and lifestyle. You will also be required to participate in the training of junior members of staff and carry out any other ad hoc duties assigned to you by senior members of staff.
To be considered for this role you will have experience of working in a care setting. You will have a good understanding of working with the older person and keep up to date on clinical practices. You will have experience of care plans and risk assessment and will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player
