Client Information: Our client is one of the oldest Hospitals, located in the heart of London, specialising in Medical and Surgical care. They have several units spanned across two prestigious areas of London focused on providing world-class treatment to their patients.
Opportunities: We are currently looking to recruit Staff Nurses to work on the Digestive Diseases Ward of the hospital. Ideally working as a Staff Nurse you will have at least 6 months post grad experience and an interest in working in this field of nursing.
Working alongside the Senior Staff Nurses on the ward, as a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for ensuring the right standard of care is provided to all patients at all time. Your responsibility will cover all aspects of acute patient care, taking full responsibility for individual patient care by using the Roper, Logan and Tierney models. You will have an innate ability to quickly identify any issues or concerns and act accordingly and work in accordance with Clinical Governance and COSHH guidelines. Working as a Staff nurse and as part of the team you will be competent in Phlebotomy, management of patients undergoing Parental and Enteral feeding, patients with stomas, epidural pain and PCA management. You will carry out these tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a safe environment for patients under your care. You will competently manage post operative patients following Colo-rectal/Gastro-intestinal surgery. You may also be assigned other ad hoc duties as required by senior members of staff and you will work to ensure confidentiality is adhered to at all times.
To be considered for this role as a Staff Nurse you will have at least 6 months post-grad experience working in Gastroenterology. You will have experience with IV, Phlebotomy and Cannulation however training can be offered in certain areas if necessary to enthusiastic candidates. You will be a caring and compassionate nurse with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Working as part of a team you will have excellent communication skills and be a good team player.
