Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, experienced and enthusiastic Registered Home Manager. Our opportunity is for a Registered Home Manager within a contemporary mixed nursing and residential home with 60 beds available for residents who require specialist support.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Registered Care Home Manager will have overall responsibility for the delivery of high-quality nursing and care to the residents. As the Registered Home Manager, you will monitor and manage the performance of all staff; ensuring company and compliance standards are maintained and exceeded. You will also be responsible for marketing the home within the local community, maximising occupancy, managing budgets, payroll and rotas.

The Care Home offers staff a supportive environment with a strong highly skilled team in place dedicated to meeting and excelling the residents social and individual care needs.

Generous annual leave entitlement of 29 days per annum rising to a maximum of 34 days after 5 years' service. Responsibilities of the Registered Manager include:

The Registered Manager will ensure residents receive excellent levels of person-centred care, within a home that offers a safe, secure and comfortable environment.
To take overall responsibility for the management and leadership of the Care Home as the Registered Manager in charge, promoting high standards of care in line with regulatory bodies.
To manage the care home in accordance with all relevant legislation and within West Berkshire Council's policies and procedures
To ensure that CQC standards are adhered to across all Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE)
To liaise with internal and external departments / organisations to deliver and develop effective services
To operate in accordance with the services four values: Respect, Inclusion, Compassion and Empowerment Requirements of the Registered Manager include:

Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD) (Desirable but not Essential)
Effectively lead a team of staff to enable the highest quality of care
Experience working as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager for 4 years
Strong staff supervision, managerial and communicational skills
Good CQC knowledge
