Job Description

Registered Home Manager

The Priory Care Home

Solihull, West Midlands

Up to £50,000 DOE plus excellent Bupa package

Bring your personality and your individual stamp of quality to one of our care homes - and help people there live longer, healthier, happier lives.

About the role

This role is the beating heart of our Priory Care Home. You'll make sure the personal care we give to each of our residents - and their relatives - is of the very highest quality, around the clock, throughout the home. You'll manage, lead, inspire and look after a large team, building strong relationships beyond the walls of the home too - especially with Local Authority and Primary Care Trust commissioners. There's a strong commercial element to the role as well: you'll be responsible not just for the facilities but the home's commercial performance, including full profit and loss responsibility. You'll make sure your home meets (and exceeds) all our regulatory and contractual requirements, and complies with operational policies and procedures. You'll also pinpoint opportunities to improve how it's run. This is a role that carries real importance to everyone here, and because of that, you may occasionally need to work out of hours or evenings. You will also, of course, need to become registered with the regulator.

What you'll need

  • A proven record of managing, motivating and producing great results with large teams
  • Experience of working and keeping track of resources within a multisite environment
  • A keen focus on improving customer service and quality of care
  • A commercial mind set - ensuring your home is operating as a successful business
  • A confident and influential leadership style that inspires and motivates your team
  • A sound record of financial management including a strong grasp of P&L statements and budgeting
  • LMCS, RMA or equivalent management qualification

What's in it for you?

A competitive salary and benefits that include,

  • Annual bonus - up to 30% of salary
  • Contributory pension (up to 5%)
  • Life assurance
  • Individual private medical insurance
  • 33 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Comprehensive induction, on-going training and development to widen your career prospects

About the home

Our warm and friendly care home is fully equipped and has been designed to deliver the very best level of care for our residents. Located in the quiet Solihull residential area of Monkspath, we are close to the village shops and on a local bus route. A GP surgery is a short distance from the home, which is surrounded by fully enclosed private gardens.

Our dedicated care team take time to get to know each individual, tailoring their care to give them as much independence as possible. Our focus is on respect, dignity and quality of life.
