Registered Manager extraordinaire is not easy to spell. Home Manager extraordinaire isn't much better. Turnaround Home Manager, Troubleshooting Registered Manager, Peripatetic Manager, Operations Manager, it doesn't really matter how we dress the jobs up, what's important is what happens when you get there.
Do you inspire staff to enjoy their work? Can you persuade people to pull together? Can you see when tough decisions need to be made, make them and carry out the remedy?
If so, I have two questions for you. Question one, how high are your standards?
I am currently working on one of the most exciting prospects for a Registered Manager for an established 20 bed residential home in Birmingham. It's not going to be easy but the rewards are huge.
Ideally, you will have already managed a successful, compliant service which focuses on the provision of care and support for adults with a mental health diagnosis. Within this role, you will be responsible for all operational day to day responsibilities of running the home, deliver person centred care as required and ensure that all occupancy is maintained.
Furthermore, you will be involved in all elements of recruitment and retention of staff, producing and amending care and support plans and developing a working atmosphere which will promote choice and independence.
At the same time Care Home has a good CQC rating, so you will not be stepping into unknown.
If you have ever managed a regulated health or social care service of any kind, call me.
If you would like to be a leader in a forward thinking family business, call me.
If you have been frustrated applying for management jobs because you are not a nurse, call me.
Question two, what's in a name?
My name is Krzysztof Wieczorek and I am available for a call in confidence at almost any time. Hope to hear from you soon.
