Job Description

Full-Time: Day Shifts (8 am - 8 pm)

Shift Pattern: 7 day rota , alternate weekends

You'll have a wide range of responsibilities, from developing tailored care plans to keeping scrupulous records and carrying out a variety of clinical tasks. You must be able to manage the daily challenges that come with caring for people with mental health complications, impairments and dementia.

The Ideal Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) candidate will have:

  • Person centred care approach
  • Ability to undertake stress whilst implementing the right attitude
  • Good Understanding of Medical Terms and Measurements with demonstrable experience of executing effective and accurate medication rounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively (Written and Verbal)
  • Experience of producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments.

Responsibilities for the Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) include:

  • Assess residents' health and well-being across a difficult and changing caseload
  • Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals' health and well-being needs
  • Provide and receive sensitive or contentious information
  • Promote and develop best practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Assist in maintaining and developing robust and compliant services
  • Contribute to quality improvement
  • Promote people's equality, diversity and rights
  • Apply clinical reasoning skills to all scenarios.


  • Valid NMC Pin
  • Clear DBS
  • Authorised to work in the EEC
  • A Registered Nurse Qualification.
  • Good knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices.
  • Experience of producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments.
  • An understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
