Job Description

Crisis Manager / Trouble-Shooting Manager post. We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager who enjoys crisis management / troubleshooting. My client has a lovely residential home in Southall, that's currently underperforming in terms of CQC compliance and they need to recruit a Registered Manager who can help them to turn it around. You'll be an experienced Registered Manager with a good track record of managing residential services effectively and in compliance with CQC standards, you'll understand the needs of older people and those with Dementia. This is a great role for an experience registered manager who likes the challenge of improving services. The home is well liked by residents and their families and exists for the benefit of the community - it falls within the charitable sector.

The Registered Care Home Manager role

You'll be responsible for the running of a residential care home for older people and those with dementia. The home is near full occupancy and they have happy residents and families. They are also now fully staffed in terms if team leaders and care staff. CQC has identified a number of areas that need to be improved within the home, and you'll work to an action plan to ensure that these areas are significantly improved.

  • As the Registered Manager you'll manage the service though a team of staff ensuring that safe, evidence based practise is used at all times. You'll oversee the delivery of a quality based care and support service, enabling residents to access and maintain a healthy lifestyle within assessed need and make effective use of opportunities for learning and leisure in the community
  • You'll ensure that the company's policies and procedures and CQC standards are met at all times
  • You'll promote the development and inclusion opportunities for all people attending the service
  • You'll lead, manage and monitor the staffing teams, ensuring that staff are recruited, trained, supervised and appraised within the company's policies and procedures
  • You'll be responsible for safeguarding
  • You'll ensure that the service is meeting statutory requirements
  • You'll ensure that effective auditing systems are in place and are followed.

The Successful Candidate

  • It's essential that you have been a Registered Manager with CCQ previously and can demonstrate a record in improving a troubled care service, or have consistently managed a good/outstanding care service.
  • You'll enjoy working as a Crisis Manager / Troubleshooting Manager and be able to quickly identify and implement improvements to be made
  • You'll need to demonstrate and excellent knowledge and the ability to implement CQC standards
  • You'll be a good developer of staff, ensuring that staff are able to implement positive change
  • You'll have skills in developing positive relationships with stakeholders, including local authority and families
  • You'll need the QCF level 5 or equivalent in social care
  • You'll have managed a residential service for older people and understand the needs of people with dementia
