Job Description

Care and Support Jobs are proud to be supporting the recruitment of a Registered Home Manager for a Leading UK Health Care Company.

We are looking for a Registered Manager to support one of their specialist residential and nursing homes supporting 27 adults living with different degrees of learning disabilities who may also have an additional medical diagnosis.

About the Role:

As the Registered Manager , you will be dedicated to undertaking the management of supporting people with learning disabilities and other complex needs, you must be an experienced manager of residential care, your team will support service users in your care to achieve their goals in life and will actively seek out opportunities for them to develop their skills and confidence through a variety of staff involvement, activities and other initiatives. Committed to quality assurance, you will effectively lead and inspire your team to provide the highest quality person-centred support and care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering best practice in social care whilst continually developing the service. You will have the opportunity to use your skills in an environment where the effective management of people and processes will be critical to the services success.

Job Requirements

The qualities and skills required:

  • Commitment to delivering high quality care
  • Previous managerial experience in a similar environment
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory standards
  • Fine tuned decision making skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills Flexibility and strong “can do" attitude
  • Have completed a recognised qualification in management in care, such as Diploma Level 5, The Registered Managers Award, NVQ4 or an equivalent
  • Demonstrate proven managerial experience in a UK long-term adult care/care home setting, with experience in Learning Disabilities
  • Able to effectively manage staff, budgets and resources, ensuring a cost-effective service which doesn't compromise on care
