This is an exciting time to join us. The three NHS trusts that currently run Broomfield, Southend and Basildon hospitals are planning to become a new single NHS organisation by mid-2019.

 All three hospitals will continue to provide the services our patients use the most. These include outpatient appointments, children’s services and day-case surgery.  All three hospitals will continue to provide 24/7 A&E and maternity services.

By working as one team we will provide the same high standard of care and services for all of our 1.2m local residents. Using the same equipment, processes and IT systems means services will run more smoothly.  Single leadership, standards and new structures will speed up decision making.  Combined corporate services will reduce duplication and cut running costs. This means more money for front-line services and faster improvements.

Our Unit is looking to recruit passionate full time Registered Nurses.

The CCUHOPKINS Unit is an acute unit with 30 beds that meet the holistic needs of patients with variety of cardiac conditions. It has an exceptionally dedicated team of 40 staff and we would like to recruit only staff that are conscientious and dedicated. The unit has very close relationship with Cardiothoracic Centre Basildon (CTC) as certain interventions and procedures for our patients are conducted at CTC.
They also work very closely with the step down unit and the Cardiac rehab team.

The successful candidates will be a motivated team orientated professional with a passion for delivering good nursing in an ever changing environment. They must possess excellent communication skills, a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork.

We are looking to recruit nurses on a permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week.
