Job Description

Registered Nurse - RGN / RMN - Nursing Home - Bristol

An opportunity has come up in a lovely medium sized nursing home in Bristol. The home is part of a small group who's focus is on high quality care. All of their homes are fully compliant. As part of your role who will work under the supervision of the Registered Manager in the assessment, planning and implantation of care while promoting professional clinical practice within the home.

In this role as Registered nurse RGN / RMN your key responsibilities include:

  • Administering medication and prescribed ensuring proper monitoring of the drug, dose, time, route and person to whom it is administered
  • Being able to demonstrate knowledge of and ability to use any equipment within the home
  • Assessing and responding to the emotional ,physical and mental needs of the residents and their families
  • Liaising with residents, staff, GLs, family and other MDT members to promote good care
  • Providing for clients who are palliative
  • Ensuring the privacy and dignity of residents is maintained
  • Undertaking activities based on holistic assessment
  • Monitoring residents hygiene and self-care
  • Investigating complaints and following procedures for their resolution
  • Actively participating in staff meetings
  • Demonstrating awareness of all procedures within the home

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Be a registered nurse RGN / RMN with a valid pin
  • Have a genuine interest in working within a caring environment
  • Be able to communication appropriately, effectively and sensitively with staff, clients and relatives
  • Have the ability to work under instruction
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities to work within a team
  • Have a clean DBS
