Job Description

Job Title: Staff Nurse ( RMN / RNLD ) - Specialist Learning Disabilities Unit

Location: Market Drayton, Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: £12.73 - £16.42 per hour / £24,823 - £32019 per annum benefits


  • Bonus 1: paid in Dec = £3k
  • Bonus 2: paid in Jun / Jul = £3k
  • Bonus 3: paid in Jun / Jul following year = £3k

Hours: Full time / part time available

Shifts: Day shifts / night shifts / mixed shifts available

Contract Type: permanent

Further Details:

We are recruiting for qualified Nurses to work within a rehabilitation unit in Market Drayton, Stoke-on-Trent. This service is a specialist unit for clients with Autism, Asperger's or other Learning Disabilities. We are looking for either Mental Health Nurses ( RMN ) or Learning Disability Nurses ( RNLD ), newly qualified or experienced.

The role of the Staff Nurse is to work closely with the wider nursing team in conducting assessments and formulating care plans. The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing excellent standards of care in line with all codes of conduct and regulations.

For experienced Nurses there is the responsibility to act as a mentor/preceptor to students/support workers where appropriate. They will also lead shifts and supervise junior staff in carrying out their care plans.

We also welcome applications from newly qualified Nurses as we can offer preceptorship programmes with excellent training and development. Overall the Manager at this service is approachable and welcoming, you will benefit from a positive and supportive working environment.

Person Specification:
